The JHC Reunion was held Sunday, October 10, 1999. Every registered, raffle tickets were purchased, food tables were prepared. Time was spent greeting each other. Betty Williamson, President, welcomed guests and made announcements. A candle was lit in honor of family members who had passed away. Rev. Henry Chavis said the blessing over the meal. After the meal, raffle tickets were drawn. The business meeting followed. Reunion minutes from the previous year were read. Pearl McClure was recognized as the only immediate family member being present. Barry Chavis talked about the Pee Dee Indian tribal charts to be a part of the tribal roll. Another member talked about trying to get the Indian Commission Bill passed in order to receive Native American benefits. Jessica Hunnicut offered to work on games for the children.
